Build credits and your build budget

All plans Anyone can build; Owner or Admin to buy credits

Onplana Maker lets you build a real app just by describing it to the AI. Building is available on every plan. Each completed build spends a small, fixed amount of your prepaid balance, called a build credit, so you always know what a build costs and you can never be surprised by an invoice.

What a build costs

  • One completed build normally costs 1 build credit. $5 buys 10 builds.
  • A build only costs a credit when it finishes successfully. If a build fails to compile, it is free. You are never charged for a build you did not get.
  • The optional “make it better” pass uses a more powerful model to polish a tricky build. It costs 10 credits instead of 1, and you opt in per build with a toggle in the build panel.
  • Fair use: an unusually large build (several times the size of a typical app in a single pass) uses one extra credit. Normal apps and normal iterations never hit this.

The Free plan’s daily cap

Every build draws 1 credit from your balance (your plan’s included one-time bonus plus any top-ups). On the Free plan there is also a cap of 7 builds a day:

  • the cap resets once a day (the build panel shows when),
  • a build that fails to compile counts against neither your credit nor the cap, and
  • the “make it better” pass costs 10 credits and does not count against the daily cap.

Once you hit the cap, come back tomorrow, or upgrade to any paid Onplana plan: paid plans have no daily cap and include a much larger one-time AI credit, so you build as much as your balance covers.

See your build budget

  1. Open the AI assistant and switch to Build.

  2. The budget bar under the build log shows how many builds you have left. On the Free plan it also shows today’s remaining builds and when the cap resets.

  3. The bar turns amber when you are running low and red when you are out.

When you run out

If you try to build with no builds left, Onplana stops you before any work starts, so nothing is spent, and there is never an automatic charge. You will see a prompt to buy more build credits, or you can wait for the next day’s free builds (on the Free plan).

Buy build credits

Owner or Admin Anyone can build, but buying credits is an Owner or Admin action.

  1. In the build panel’s budget bar, choose Buy credit (or open Organization Settings → Billing and select Buy AI credit).

  2. Pick a pack. Every pack adds credit at the same rate ($5 covers 10 builds), so choose whatever size fits.

  3. Credits are added to your prepaid balance right away and are shared across builds and AI chat.
