Plan your app on the Plan tab
The Plan tab is what sets Onplana Maker apart from a bare chat-window builder. Every app has a real to-do list underneath it: the steps you and the agent agree on become checkable items, the agent ticks off its own work as it builds, and you can steer the whole thing by hand. The plan is the steering wheel, not a read-only log.
Where the plan comes from
Section titled “Where the plan comes from”When you agree to a build plan in the Build tab, those steps mirror into the Plan tab as an ordered to-do list. Each step is owned by either the agent (work it will do for you) or you (something only a human can do, like providing an account or a decision). The steps run in order: a build waits on your steps before the agent continues past them.
Steer the build from the plan
Section titled “Steer the build from the plan”-
Open the Plan tab. You see every step with a progress bar at the top (for example, “3 of 21 done”).
-
Check a step off when it is done. The agent checks off its own steps as it completes them, and you can tick or untick any step yourself. The progress updates instantly.
-
Build a step: hover a step and click the hammer icon to send it straight to the Build tab, pre-filled. Watch the agent do it, then come back and check it off.
-
Reorder with the up and down arrows to change what the agent tackles next.
-
Rename a step by clicking its title and typing. Keep the plan in your own words.
-
Add steps and substeps: type into “Add a step” at the bottom, or hover a step and click the plus to add a substep under it.
Agent steps vs your steps
Section titled “Agent steps vs your steps”| Step owner | What it means |
|---|---|
| Agent | Work the agent will do. It moves these to done as it builds. |
| You | Something only you can do (a decision, an account, an asset). The build pauses on these until you are ready. |
Keeping the two visibly separate is the point: you always know what the agent is handling and what is waiting on you.
The plan travels with your project
Section titled “The plan travels with your project”A Maker plan is a real Onplana project plan. When you open your app in the full Onplana workspace, the same steps are there as project tasks, with owners and dependencies intact. Nothing to re-enter.
If I check a step off, does it change the app? No. Checking a step is a status update on your to-do list. To change the app, use the hammer icon to send a step to Build, or describe the change in the Build tab.
Can I delete a step? Yes. Remove steps you do not need; the plan is yours to shape.
Why is one step marked as mine? The agent flags steps that need a human, like providing a secret, an account, or a design decision. Do that step, then the build continues.
