Invite a friend and earn build credit

Every Onplana Maker workspace has its own invite link. Share it, and when someone signs up on that link and builds something, you each get one free build credit: 80,000 AI tokens apiece, and since a build costs the tokens it actually uses, that’s typically enough for several builds.

The credit is added to your wallet automatically. There is nothing to claim.

  1. Open Billing in Maker.

  2. Find the Invite a friend card. Your link is on it, ready to copy, along with buttons to share it on Facebook, X, LinkedIn or Reddit.

Your link never changes, so it is safe to put in a bio, a newsletter, or a message you send again later.

What actually earns the credit

This is the part worth reading carefully, because it is the most common question.

Signing up is not enough. Your friend has to build something.

Specifically, the credit lands when they complete their first build that actually changes their app. A build that fails, or one where the agent made no changes, does not count.

So the sequence is:

  1. Your friend opens your link and signs up. You see them as “Joined” on your invite card. No credit yet, and that is expected.
  2. They verify their email address.
  3. They describe an app and build it.
  4. Both wallets are credited, and you get an email telling you so.

If someone is stuck at “Joined”, the usual reason is simply that they have not built anything yet, or have not verified their email address.

When it arrives, and whether it expires

The credit arrives within moments of their first successful build. You will get an email when it does, and the invite card on your Billing page updates to “Credited”.

Referral credit never expires. It behaves like the credit you earn from the sharing rewards, not like credit you buy. Purchased credit is valid for 90 days; earned credit is not on a clock.

The limits

There are caps, and your invite card counts them for you.

  • 10 referrals in the lifetime of a workspace.
  • 5 in any 30-day period.

Past either cap your link keeps working for signups, but no referral credit is granted, on either side, until the rolling window moves on. You will not see an error, because nothing is broken.

What does not earn credit

A few situations are refused, and knowing them saves a support ticket:

  • Referring yourself. Signing up again on your own link, or making a second workspace to invite from the first, does not earn anything.
  • Throwaway email addresses. Disposable domains are not eligible.
  • Unverified email. Your friend needs to confirm their address first. This one is only a delay, not a refusal: once they verify and build, the credit lands.

Where the credit goes

Onto the workspace wallet, not a personal balance. Builds, AI edits and hosting all draw from that same wallet, so whoever works in the workspace gets the extra room.

If you belong to more than one Maker workspace, each has its own invite link and its own allowance.
