Install Onplana Tasks for iPhone

Onplana Tasks for iPhone puts the work assigned to you in your pocket. See what is due across every project, add a task in the words you’d say it, tick things off with a swipe, and keep going with no signal, the app syncs your changes when you’re back online.

It’s a companion, not a replacement: the heavy planning (Gantt, dependencies, governance) stays in the web app, one tap away.

Install

1. Open onplana.com/download on your iPhone and follow the link for the iPhone app.

2. Install the app, then open it and tap Sign in with Onplana.

Early access

Onplana Tasks for iPhone is rolling out through Apple’s TestFlight ahead of its App Store release, so the install currently runs through the free TestFlight app. This page will switch to a one-tap App Store install when the listing goes live. The app needs iOS 17.4 or later.

Sign in

Tap Sign in with Onplana. A secure Apple sign-in sheet opens on onplana.com for you to approve access, then the app switches to your task list. Your password is only ever typed on onplana.com; the app receives a scoped access token that can read and update your tasks and projects, nothing else.

The connection appears as Onplana Tasks (mobile) under Settings → Integrations → Connected apps in the web app, where you can revoke it at any time. Access expires after 90 days; just sign in again.

See and complete your work

My tasks groups everything assigned to you into Overdue, Today, and This week, and its tab badge counts what’s overdue. Search the list, or use the project filter to look at one project’s tasks.

• Swipe right on a task to complete it (or reopen a finished one).
• Swipe left to snooze it to tomorrow.
• Long-press for more: snooze until tomorrow, in 3 days, or next week, change the priority, or delete the task.

Every gesture has a tap equivalent, the circle completes, the ⋯ button opens the same menu, so nothing depends on knowing the swipes.

Quick-add in plain language

Tap + and type the task the way you’d say it, for example file the tax return friday !!. The app reads the due date and priority off your wording, on your phone, no AI call, and shows what it understood as chips before you save. Pick the target project once from the row under the input, or set a default in Settings → Quick add so new tasks always land in the right place.

Works offline

Completing, reopening, snoozing, and reprioritising all work with no signal. The app shows Offline, last synced N min ago, marks pending rows with a Queued badge, and replays your changes automatically the moment you’re back online. Creating new tasks, issues, and ideas needs a connection, the app tells you rather than losing your input.

Check on your agents

The Agents tab shows the work you’ve delegated to AI agents, filtered by Needs you, Running, or Done. When something changed since you last looked, a While you were away brief opens the tab with what finished and what’s waiting on you. Tap any row to open the task without leaving the app.

Log issues and capture ideas

• Issues: tap + on the Issues tab to log a problem the moment you hit it, then triage severity and status later from the issue’s detail view.
• Ideas: type into the capture box at the top of the Ideas tab and press the 💡. Ideas are private to you and need no project, so a passing thought costs two seconds. Ideas never mix into your task list.

Your Inbox

The Inbox tab collects mentions, comments, and assignments on your work. Tap a row to jump straight to the task or issue it’s about.

Get a daily reminder

Turn on Reminders in Settings for a single notification at 5pm on days you have something due. It’s a local notification, so it works with the app closed and with no signal. The app only asks for notification permission when you’ve added a task with a due date, never at first launch.

Open in Onplana

Task, issue, and idea detail views carry an Open in Onplana link that opens the full web app for anything deeper, dependencies, custom fields, boards, and everything else the phone deliberately leaves to the big screen.

How it connects

The app talks to Onplana over the same secure surface as the browser extension and the desktop app, with a token scoped to your tasks and projects. Sign out from Settings to remove this device’s copy of your tasks, or revoke the connection from Settings → Integrations → Connected apps in the web app.
