See what needs you today

What needs you today is the home you land on after you sign in. It answers one question for the workspace you are in: what is waiting on you right now? Your late and due work, the agents and the people waiting on you, the AI proposals on your tasks and the help the agent can give, all in one list of linked rows.

It fills itself from work that already exists. There is nothing to set up, and it is on every plan.

  • Only what applies to you shows. A section with nothing in it is left out. When nothing at all needs you, the page says “Nothing needs you right now. Nothing is overdue or waiting on your decision.” and offers Open My Work.
  • Each section shows up to five rows and a count of everything in it. When there are more, and N more opens the page that lists them all: My Work for tasks and agent offers, the agent inbox for proposals, your notifications for tips, and the Health panel for workspace health.
  • Each row links to what it names: the task, the approval or the finding. The second line shows the project and the detail that matters for that section, such as the due date.
  • “Today” is your own day, in your time zone, so a task due today is due on your calendar, not the server’s.
  • If one part could not be loaded, the rest still shows, with the line “Some items could not be loaded. Refresh to try again.”

The list runs from what is late or holding someone up to what can wait.

Open tasks that are assigned to you, or that you collaborate on, whose due date has passed. Each row shows its due date.

Your open tasks due today.

Tasks assigned to an AI agent that are Blocked, in projects you are a member of. Each row names the agent that is waiting. Open the task to give it what it needs; see Draft a reply to a blocked agent.

Approvals that need you: gate reviews, change requests, access requests, timesheets, workflow approvals and expense claims. Each row says which kind it is and who asked.

Your own tasks marked Blocked. This section, and Due dates pushed later below, appear only where Onplana has turned them on.

Changes that Onplana AI or an agent has proposed on your open tasks and that nobody has accepted or dismissed yet, such as a new due date, a status change, an assignee, a dependency, a split into subtasks or completing a milestone. These are the same proposals the agent review inbox lists, and the row’s title opens it.

Most proposals can be checked and applied right on the row:

  1. Press Preview to see what would change. A proposal that moves dates shows which tasks move, the finish date before and after, and who would go over capacity. Any other proposal shows each field before and after. Preview reads the plan and changes nothing.
  2. Press Apply to make exactly the change you were shown. If the plan has changed since the preview, nothing is applied and the row asks you to preview it again.
  3. Press Undo, where it is offered, to reverse it. Undo is one step: it reverses that one change.

You can apply a proposal only on a project you can edit. Otherwise the row says so, and someone who can edit the project can apply it from the agent inbox. A proposal of a kind the row cannot preview, a workflow for example, opens the agent inbox instead.

Your open tasks where the Onplana agent has offered to help, such as drafting a document or an email, building a list, or breaking the task into subtasks. Ask the agent opens the task, where the Run with Onplana Agent card starts the agent on it; see Assign work to an agent. An offer shows only while it still matches the task as it is now.

Your open tasks due in the next seven days.

Your open tasks whose due date was moved later in the last seven days. Each row shows the date it was due and the date it is due now.

Notifications you have not read yet that carry Onplana’s guidance on something that affects you directly, the same guidance a workspace health finding gives. A tip that comes with an article opens it in a new tab; the others open your notifications.

For Owners and Admins only: the open findings of the Health panel. Each row opens the panel; see Monitor workspace health.

In a workspace’s first week, while you are the only person in it, nobody has been invited yet and you are allowed to invite people, the list ends with “Your workspace is new. Invite one teammate to work on it with you.” The row opens People with the invite open. See Invite your team.

The dashboard you used before is one click away. Press Open the dashboard at the top right of the page, and Back to what needs you today returns to the list. The choice is not remembered: the next time you open the home, you land on the list again.

Onplana turns this home on for everyone at once. There is no setting in a workspace to switch it on or off. Where it is not on, you land on the dashboard, as before.

Is this the same as My Work? No. My Work lists every task, issue, mention and review that is yours, with filters. This home picks out what needs you today, and adds what My Work does not show: agents waiting on you, AI proposals you can apply in place, the agent’s offers, and, for Owners and Admins, workspace health.

Does opening the home use my workspace’s AI tokens? No. Loading the page calls no AI. Pressing Apply on a proposal applies a change that was worked out earlier.

Why does a section I expected not show? A section shows only when something is in it. Workspace health shows only to Owners and Admins, and Your blocked tasks and Due dates pushed later only where they are turned on.
