The headline this month is where everything lives inside a project: the row of tabs is gone, and the left sidebar becomes the project’s own menu.

Reversed in September

This one did not last. On 5 September a project’s navigation moved back to a row of tabs under the project header, and the sidebar now stays on your organization the whole time. Read this entry as a record of what shipped in August, not as how the app works today. See September 2026 and Navigate a project.

In the app

• A project’s views moved into the sidebar. Open a project and the sidebar shows every view grouped, with live task and issue counts and a lock on anything your plan does not include. Opening a group takes you straight to its first view, so the task list is one click from anywhere, and groups remember which ones you left open. Nothing was removed, and existing links still work. • The Gantt chart now manages the plan, not just the dates. Add tasks from the Gantt toolbar, drag rows to reorder them (every reorder comes with an Undo), and click a task’s name to open the full edit form without leaving the chart. Tooltips, the timeline axis, and the chart surface also follow your language and dark mode now, and dates always land on the day you drop them, whatever your timezone. Plan on the Gantt chart
• The project Overview was rebuilt around what needs attention. The stat cards now read Total tasks, Overdue, Open issues and Open risks, and each one clicks through to the view that answers it. Progress is told once, and the scorecard shows only the dimensions that actually have data instead of a column of “N/A”.
• A brand-new project opens on get-started cards rather than empty charts: generate a plan with AI, add your first tasks, invite a teammate, set the timeline. Each card disappears as you finish it. Create your first project
• Onplana can run your agents for you. Connect a provider key once and dispatch work, or put an agent on a daily or weekly schedule; nothing depends on a laptop staying open. Pro and above include a monthly agent-day allowance, and every plan can buy more. Run an agent on your own key
• Two agents no longer collide. Tasks now take an execution lease, so agents working the same project claim work instead of doing the same task twice. Run multiple agents on one project
• The Gantt chart and baselines are on every plan, including Free. Plan on the Gantt chart
• A free 14-day Enterprise trial. Qualifying workspaces can try the full Enterprise tier from the Billing tab, once per workspace, no card. Try Enterprise for 14 days
• Quiet hours for phone notifications. Nothing is pushed between 10 PM and 8 AM in your device’s own time zone; the in-app bell and email are unaffected. Manage notification preferences
• Arabic, with full right-to-left. Choosing العربية mirrors the whole layout: the navigation moves to the right, text and tables align right, and directional icons flip. Free on every plan, and personal to you. Change your display language
• Four more display languages. Simplified Chinese, Japanese, German, and Italian joined during the month, bringing the interface to nine languages. Change your display language
• A General issue can be filed into a project. An issue’s home used to be fixed when you created it, so one raised before anyone knew where it belonged stayed in General forever. It can now be moved into the project it turned out to belong to. One direction only, since General is visible to more people than a project is, so the move narrows who can see it rather than widening it. Track issues
• Search results open the task itself. Finding a task in search now lands on it with its edit form open, instead of on the list it lives in.

Onplana Tasks companions

The companions reached the public stores this month: Android is live on Google Play, Windows is in the Microsoft Store, and the extension came to Safari through the Mac App Store, joining Chrome and Edge.

Every platform has an install guide of its own now: Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android, and the browser extension. Each covers signing in, quick-add, working offline, and what stays in the web app. iPhone is the one holdout: it is still in TestFlight while the App Store listing lands, and its guide says how to get an invitation.

My Day now carries a count, so you can see how much is on your plate today without opening the list first.

New in the help center

• Run multiple agents on one project, how execution leases work, and what a leased task looks like to a human.

Existing guides updated

• Customize your navigation was rewritten for the sidebar: one menu with two modes, the group names as they now read, and the Edit navigation pencil at the foot of the sidebar rather than on a section bar.
• Change your display language gained Arabic, a direction column, and a section on what right-to-left actually changes. It is also more honest about coverage: every translated string exists in all nine languages and a build gate keeps them in step, but the app is not yet translated end to end, so an untranslated string falls back to English.
• The per-view guides across projects, agile, collaboration and automation now say “open the group, then select the view”, matching what is on screen.
