Print and export reports in Onplana Schedule

All plansMember

The Reports menu turns the plan into five ready reports for a status meeting, a site team or a client. Each one previews in the app, then prints, saves as PDF or exports as CSV.

  1. Open the plan and choose Reports, then the report you want. The Reports dialog opens on it, and the list of reports at its side switches to another.

  2. Set its options, if it has any:

    • Look-ahead: under Window, pick 3 days, 2 weeks or Custom with From and To dates, and under Resource, pick Everyone or one person.
    • Resource usage by period: under Period, pick Week or Month.
  3. Check the preview, then press Print, Save as PDF or Export CSV.

Report What it shows
Project overview The finish date, progress, task counts and the plan’s quality and risk figures on one page.
Look-ahead The tasks starting, finishing or under way in the next days, for one resource or everyone.
Milestones Every milestone with its date, its baseline and whether it is on time.
Late and slipping The tasks behind their baseline, or past their finish or behind their progress at the status date.
Resource usage by period Each resource’s work by week or month, from the Resource usage view.
  • Project overview lists start, finish, percent complete, counts of tasks done, in progress and not started, milestones and critical tasks, the baseline finish and the finish against it, and the DCMA checks passed. The P80 finish appears once you have run Plan > Schedule risk… in this session; until then it says “No risk run yet in this session.”
  • Look-ahead counts both edges of the window, from the status date.
  • Milestones marks each one Done, Late, Slipping or On time, with its variance in working days.
  • Late and slipping reads the baseline when the file has one. With no baseline, it reads the status date: tasks not done whose finish has passed, and tasks under way that are less complete than a straight line from their start to their finish. The report says which it used.
  • The PDF has an Onplana footer and “Page n of N”. A table too wide for the page is split, and a table that runs on is marked “(continued)”.
  • Reports cover tasks, not summary rows, and leave out inactive tasks. A task counts as done at 100 percent or with an actual finish.
  • The status date is the one saved in the file, or today when it sets none.
  • Reports are made on your computer from the plan as it stands, unsaved edits included. Nothing is uploaded, and they keep working with Keep this plan on this machine on.
  • The CSV has headings in the app’s language and opens in Excel.
